FlightKML collects the following data while you use the app:
- Location Data – GPS coordinates, altitude, and speed, used to record and display your flights.
- Flight Data – Logged positions, timestamps, and stationary events for building flight histories.
This data is stored locally on your device and is not automatically uploaded to any external servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data only to:
- Display your current and past flights.
- Export flight tracks (KML files) when you choose to share or email them.
We do not use your information for tracking, advertising, or analytics.
3. Data Sharing
Your data is never shared automatically.
You control sharing through:
- Export and Share – Sending KML files via AirDrop, email, or other services you select.
- Email Reports – If you choose to email a flight report, the data will be attached to the email you send.
4. Data Retention
All recorded flights and logs remain stored on your device until you delete them manually.
5. Permissions
- Location Access – Required to record your position during flights.
- Notification Access – Used for inactivity reminders (optional).
- Email Access – Only used when you choose to send a report via your device’s Mail app.
6. Security
Your flight data is stored locally on your device and is protected by the security features of iOS.
